I had the pleasure of connecting with Nathan Adlam after he invited me to take part in a expert-led guest post on ‘How to be Charming‘. He is the Founding Editor of Social Sage: An Introvert’s Guide to Charm and I have been following him on social media since we connected. I really love how he writes and the tips he shares. I’m an introvert so I can definitely relate on that level, but it’s also his fun approach to life, love and business. I find him very inspiring and so had to include him in my Inspiring Interview series. I hope you enjoy it. Make sure you check out his Big Ass List of Articles (aka his blog lol) and you’ll see what I mean. He’s a total cool dude. If you like what you see, then grab one of his free eBooks here on how to have interesting conversations and how to avoid the friend zone.
Back in September, I was working in New York scoping out when and how to launch the business over there, and I took the time to meet up with some really big name US dating and relationship experts. I was lucky enough to catch up with Hunt Ethridge, who has been named as one of the top 8 dating coaches in the US. He is best known for co-founding the well-respected International Dating Coach Association (IDCA) and he’s also the Chief Marketing Officer of LiveDatingAdvice.com.
Earlier in the year I was living it up on the west coast of the US in San Francisco, so I couldn’t wait to connect with Sarah Jones, a dating expert who is based there. Sarah is one cool entrepreneur and relationship expert, who launched Introverted Alpha a couple of years ago (I’m in LOVE with the name of her company). She helps smart, introverted men attract women naturally. She teaches them how to attract women through their own unique badassery rather than letting them rely on fake, creepy approaches which women dislike. She helps them figure out what’s great about them and helps them turn up the dial on that, encouraging them to build genuine confidence and learn dating skills in a linear, logical way.
On my recent work trip to New York City, I was lucky enough to be invited to meet and interview the fabulous Susan Winter – such a great opportunity to get the lowdown on this leading US dating expert. She worked in classical theatre, before going on to host a TV show for the equivalent of today’s CNBC before becoming an evolutionary dating expert. She has written two books and been a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show among many other things. So – you can probably imagine just how excited I was to head to her fabulous apartment in the heart of Manhattan, a few blocks from the famous Times Square and a stone’s throw from Central Park, to meet her back in late September.
Meet the one woman who rocks my (business) world – Nicole
Running your own business is hard work and can often be lonely and knackering, so to do it well and to keep your sanity, I quickly learnt that you need to surround yourself with the right people. I am very lucky in that I have my awesome bf who supports me on many levels (finance, emotional, admin, practical – i.e. makes the dinner lol) but with the growing number of clients that I’ve been working with over the last year, it became very clear that I needed support on a client management level – I needed another photographer. And, not just any photographer. No, I needed a photographer who understood this crazy new genre of photography that I have created. After meeting and interviewing a handful of talented photographers, Nicole, was the one that made the final cut and here’s why. Continue Reading
