I was devastated.
I hadn’t slept in the last 72 hours, my eyes burned and my heart was racing. Something inside of me wished that it was all just a nightmare. All I wanted was to fall asleep and wake up without the feeling of having lost another chance to happiness.
She was amazing. She was beautiful, kind and she took care of me like nobody else. She was everything I ever wanted in a woman and what did I do? I messed it up. I lied to her, I sabotaged our relationship before it even started and I forced her to leave me.
It’s hard to admit, but she was not the only amazing girl that I scared away with my fear of commitment and with my inability to control my emotions, desires and my relentless craving for freedom.
I must have scared away a dozen of breathtaking girls before I was finally able to commit to a relationship. Today I am together with an amazing woman who is glad that meditation helped me to attract our harmonic relationship without sabotaging it right from the get-go.
You Finally Realize What You Want
In case you are afraid that I am some weed-smoking hippie who wants to sell you an overpriced meditation retreat, you can calm down now. I am just a regular guy who found out that meditation has the power to change your life.
Meditation has so many benefits. It allows you to connect with yourself, to calm your mind and to create space for thoughts that usually drown in the hectic daily routine that we call our life. This can be exactly what you need to find out what you really want.
Before I started meditating I wanted more from everything. I wanted more women, more sex and more satisfaction. I couldn’t get enough and I was always craving for new and more extreme stimulations. The feeling that you don’t have enough can be extremely dangerous. In my case it destroyed all my potential relationships.
After countless hours of meditating I had finally calmed down my mind to a point where I was ready to face my demons. At first it was hard to face my own insecurities, my fears and my vulnerability, but after a while it was quite liberating to find out who I really was and what I really wanted.
Slowly but steadily I shifted my perspective from quantity to quality. Instead of wanting more women, I wanted to spend more quality time with women. I wanted to experience relationships that meant something and I was finally ready for them.
You Become Aware of Your Surroundings
Before I meditated on a regular basis I was obsessed with approaching every beautiful woman who crossed my way. I am a bit ashamed of admitting it, but this behavior resulted in a lot of phone numbers from girls who I shouldn’t have called.
When you go out in the world with the needy and desperate mindset to approach anyone, no matter who they are and what values they have, you inevitably end up dating people who are anything but good for you.
I mean, you can’t expect to have a healthy and fulfilling relationship with someone who has completely different beliefs and values than you. Unfortunately, I was stupid enough to ignore this advice.
Through meditation I developed a certain level of awareness of my surroundings and the people in it. I finally saw what I wasn’t able to see for years. I recognized if a woman was good for me or not after talking to her for a couple of minutes. Instead of interacting with every girl who fulfilled a certain beauty standard I focused on connecting with women who had the same values and beliefs as me.
As a result, my dating life changed completely. I only dated women who were good for me and who had the potential to grow by being with me. My relationships turned from chaotic into harmonic.
You Feel More Connected
Finding the right women was not a problem anymore, but what I always had to struggle with was to connect on such a deep level that they actually wanted to be in a relationship with me. I was definitely not a boring person, but for some reason I went on a lot of dates that ended with me texting her afterwards without ever getting a reply.
The way I connected with women should change after about one month of regular meditation. I felt more connected to myself than ever before. I was aware of my fears, I knew what I wanted and I was also able to screen the environment for women who had a positive vibe.
Now I just had to connect with them and to be honest, it wasn’t that hard anymore. Due to the fact that I felt a deep connection with myself, it was very easy to connect with the people I spent time with.
I realized that the strong connection with myself helped me to respect and love myself more than ever before. The intense feelings of self-respect and self-love worked like a magnet. The women I met were intrigued by me. They were fascinated how calm, relaxed and joyful I was.
The connection with the women I was dating got even stronger when I allowed them to feel the same intense connection with themselves, the world and with me by sharing my journey with them.
